OPI – Paint My Moji-Toes Red

This weekend was my good friend’s bachelorette party in Boston.  We all wore black tops and dark jeans, so I figured I’d spice it up a bit with a bright polish.  I chose Paint My Moji-Toes Red, which I thought was fitting because of the fun color and the booze reference in the name. It’s a very pretty blend of red/orange and pink, but I think the lighting in my pictures brings out more orange tones.

I used the Miracle Nail Fix to fortify the edges of some of my weaker nails, followed by INM Clearbond Base Coat.  I used 2 coats of the polish and topped it all off with Seche Vite Top Coat.  Again, the top coat shrunk my beautiful mani and actually caused some heavily unattractive peeling. I still haven’t found a solid answer as to why this happens.  In my research thus far, it sounds like it can just happen every now and then.  That’s entirely too risky for me.  I need a trustworthy top coat, so I plan on heading back to Sally’s today to find my match.

Here’s a picture of the color straight off of google images..I think google is much more accurate.  It’s almost like a muted pink/red or a slight step up from a bright coral. Hard to describe, but who cares. It’s pretty and that’s all that matters!
